The SD-360 from Toshiba takes DVD Playback to a new level thanks to HDMI connectivity and built-in up conversion. Standard DVD playback which we all know and love delivers a maximum of 576 horizontal lines of resolution, which in itself provides us with crisp clear images.
The SD-360 however takes the standard image resolution and uses a process known as up-conversion to increase the line resolution to a user selectable level of either 720 progressively scanned lines, 1080 interlaced lines or even 1080 progressively scanned lines. This feature works in perfect harmony with todays High Definition ready flat panel displays.
